Resources can be organized into groups. This can be useful if, within a single Schedule, your Resources exist in different floors of a building, or within different rooms on a floor. Creating a different Group for each floor or room in which your resources are dispersed can help make your Resources more organized.
On the Bookings page, users can filter by resource group or resource type to help find the best resource to meet their needs.
Resource Types are similar to Resource Groups in that they allow your Resources to be further organized. The difference, however, is that, whereas Resource Groups are more designed to help you say where the resource is, Resource Types are designed to help you say what the resource is
Resource Groups
To create a new Resource Group, click the three-dot icon on the Resources screen then select “Resource Groups”.
To create a new group, input a name in "Add a new group" and click the + Icon. You can assign a resource to a group by drag and drop. You can also rename or delete a group by right clicking.
On the Resources page, you can assign a resource to a resource group by clicking the pencil icn next to "Resource Groups"
Resource Types
Resource Types are additional way to define the resources in the organization. As an example, you might create a resource group for each floor of the building but a resource type to help filter the equipment from the meeting rooms. Additionally, when creating Reports, Report results can be filtered by Resource Type
To create a new Resource Type, click the three-dot icon on the Resources screen then select “Resource Type”.
