When an entry is added to a page, it is either added to the top of the page or the bottom of the page (controlled through Notebook Settings by the Notebook Owner), or it's placement can be directed to a specific spot on the page. After placement on the page, options are available to move the entry to a different part of the current page, create a copy of an entry and add the copy to a new page, and rearrange all the entries on the page in a specific order.
Moving an Entry on the Page
The option to move an entry within the same page can be found in the entry toolbar. Hover over an entry to see the entry toolbar and use the up or down arrows to move the entry to its preferred spot on the page. Movement of an entry will be recorded in the revision history.
Moving an Entry to a New Page
You can easily move an entry to a different page using the Move to page option. To move an entry, hover over the entry you would like to move, click the triple dot menu, then select Move to page.
A window will appear where you can select which page (in the current notebook) you would like to move the entry to.
Rearranging Entries on Page
The Owner of a notebook can rearrange entries on a page based on their created or updated date. To rearrange a page, click the Page Tools button on the top right and select Rearrange entries.
This option is not a simple sort, but a complete re-organization of the page based on the date selection and cannot be reverted. Other notebook members who have access to the page will also see the page in its newly rearranged format.
The options to rearrange the entries include:
Re-arrange by Created Date, Newest to Oldest: The most recently created entry at the top of the page.
Re-arrange by Created Date, Oldest to Newest: The oldest entry at the top of the page.
Re-arrange by Updated Date, Newest to Oldest: The most recently edited entry at the top of the page.
Re-arrange by Updated Date, Oldest to Newest: The entry that was updated the longest ago will be at the top of the page.
Once you select an option, a warning message will appear confirming your selection and noting that the action is not reversible.
