A Token is a secure, temporary string of characters that functions like a password. It is typically used when connecting to external partner applications that require authentication without exposing your Single Sign-On credentials. The token will be required to access integration partners including GraphPad, Snapgene and REDCap.
To retrieve a Token, from your LabArchives account, click your name at the top right, then click External App Authentication.
The Token for External Applications screen will appear. Click Copy to save the email or token to your clipboard. You can use the email address and token to login to the external application.
Note: The token is valid for 1-hour and a new token can be generated. Some applications provide a "save my information" or "auto login" option which means you may only need the token one time and not for each future login. For security, do not save the credentials on shared devices.
