The Activity Feed helps you stay up to date with the latest activity, whether in your own notebooks or those shared with you. It provides a clear, chronological log of all actions across your LabArchives account including logins, uploads, edits, shares, and comments.
The Activity Feed can be accessed from the Bell icon from the top navigation bar or by selecting Activity Feed through the triple-dot menu.

From the Top Navigation Bar |
From the Triple-Dot Menu |
If an action generates a notification, a red badge will appear on the Bell icon to show the number of unread items. Some of the specific activities that trigger notifications include the following:
- When someone mentions you in a comment
- Notebook deletions (this feature may not be supported by your organization)
- A pending page witness request (this feature is enabled by the notebook owner)
- DOI approval request (this feature may not be supported by your organization)
Viewing and Filtering Activities
The Activity Feed displays all recorded actions in reverse chronological order, with the most recent activity at the top. Each entry includes:
- The name of the member who performed the action and the type of activity (e.g., edited, deleted, commented)
- A preview of the related content, if available
- A timestamp showing when the action occurred
- A hyperlink to view the content in your notebook - the linked content will open in the same browser tab used to access the Activity Feed and will not open in a new tab.
To help you manage large volumes of activity, the feed can be organized by category and refined using filters.
