The Settings section of Lab Management helps ensure that the lab location, purchasing workflows, and financial tracking are accurate and consistently maintained. Only members with the appropriate permissions—such as the Lab Manager role or a custom role with lab management privileges—can access and modify these settings. Refer to the Understanding Inventory Roles and Permissions for more information.
Access the Settings menu from the From the Gear icon and Lab Management menu to begin updating the fields.
Lab Name: By default, the lab name is set to the account owner's first and last name, but can be edited here to reflect the name of the research lab.
Location: State the physical location of your lab by providing the Building, Floor, and Room number. If your Inventory account is part of an Enterprise License, your organization may have imported a list of location details. If so, details can be selected from a drop-down menu. Enterprise users may also see a reminder notification until the lab location is updated.
Currency: Select the preferred currency to when entering item prices. The default currency is U.S. Dollars (USD). Other supported currencies include:

Automatically Approve Orders: By default, all orders require approval from a Lab Manager or members with Order approval privileges. To automatically have Orders approved that are below a specific amount, enter the amount and select Update Settings. Click here to learn more about the Orders Workflow.
